Who We Are
What is SIA?
SIA was founded in 2016 by Joesph Canepa; who has been flying since 1987. He is a Certified Flight Instructor with a Commercial Multi-Engine Instrument rating. As an Advanced Ground Instructor with over 2000 hours of flight time, he decided to take his passion for aviation further. Students in Aviation is a non-profit organization that supports school districts and their students by creating a tailored approach to learning about Aviation through the use of flight simulators. Our flight simulators are designed to focus on student education, flight training, and lead towards a more developed understanding of aviation, and what the Aviation Industry has to offer. We believe aviation and the careers therein should be accessible to all.
SIA is committed to helping students chart the route towards a successful career in aviation.
