Students In Aviation (SIA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free flight simulators to school districts located in the United States who have or are starting an aviation program or club. No strings attached. SIA provides free online aviation learning materials to teachers and students for classrooms. Aviation scholarships are also available from SIA for high school students interested in getting their pilots license or pursuing a career in aviation. In south central Wisconsin SIA provides free ground schools for middle, high school and college age students. SIA also helps school districts open local SIA club chapters. SIA club members and schools will be eligible to participate in annual aviation competitions.
Up until recently Students In Aviation was privately funded by Lynx Transportation Software but due to it’s growth we are now asking for outside donations to help us provide more flight simulators and materials to schools across the United States.
