Teacher Instruction made simple.
-Our ‘Student Definition Guides‘ packet should be downloaded, printed off (one copy per student contains content for Lessons 001-005), and will be held onto by them for the duration of the class. Student Guides will follow along with each Lesson, and include their own personal SIA Flight Log, and Yoke Function document.
-SIA Sim Flight Logs can be printed off and supplied to each student or class so they can track their progress, helping build confidence and a sense of accomplishment! Teachers are also encouraged to leave a flight log next to the simulator for each student to fill in as they have completed time on the sim.
-This official FAA certified “Curriculum Guide” is a great resource for educators who are unsure of how to integrate Aviation into their classroom. Whether you specialize in STEM, Language Arts, or Social Studies, this guide can help you integrate aviation into your classroom!

*Disclosure: SIA’s Free Lesson Plans are meant to generate student engagement in Aviation Education and introduce students to the basics of flight with the ultimate goal of spreading awareness of the various careers available to students in the Aviation Industry. While the lessons have been developed using the AFH (Airplane Flying Handbook) and PHAK (Pilots Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge), they should be looked at as a high-level overview.
